For example, a $1,500 vehicle could translate into 15,000 meals provided at a partner food bank, while a $2,500 vehicle could deliver 25,000 meals. As food banks operate with high efficiency, your donation scales linearly – meaning larger contributions can have exponentially greater impacts on community food security. Consider that with a $5,000 vehicle, you could directly facilitate up to 50,000 meals, ensuring that hunger is met with immediate resources and support.
How we vet recipient partners
At Rev Up Local, we prioritize partnering with food banks that meet stringent accountability standards. We prefer affiliates of the Feeding America network, which are held to high operational benchmarks. Additionally, we only work with organizations that have been rated 4-stars by Charity Navigator; maintain low overhead costs below 10%; and demonstrate effective volunteer-hour-to-dollar ratios. This ensures that your contributions are translated into meaningful programs, with at least 90% of funds directly supporting essential food programs.
How proceeds flow
After processing and towing costs, approximately 70% to 80% of the gross proceeds from your vehicle donation go directly to our partner food banks. These funds are then allocated based on the partner’s program ratio, ensuring that your generosity helps maintain and expand essential food programs across the community.
